In a chain of replies on my previous Villa Konellibont status update initiated by uncle Dave on Hyves, Sjaan recommended actually tasting the konelli food, according to her it would be quite tasty.
Test results are in:
1. Freeze dried carrot?
2. Some kind of leek
3. Mais
4. Undefinable, barky taste
5. Dried bell pepper?
6. Grass
7. Undefinable, recycled konelli droppings?
8. Seed (black)
9. Popcorn?
10. Popped rice?
To be frank... they all tasted like chicken to me :)

Villa Konellibont - Phase 2
Construction on the villa continued last week.
Rabbitwhisperer Noey told me rabbits like to have a view on their territory while they are in their house, so she suggested to make a window in the front. Made a sliding panel which can be removed for cleaning or during summer.
I hate working with plexiglass.
Some aesthetic changes are still needed (covering holes etc.) but the future inhabitants aren't that picky...

Has the large Hadron Collider destroyed the world yet?
Has the large Hadron Collider destroyed the world yet?
On the other hand, the international earth-destruction advisory board still maintains that:
From the site:
--------
FAQ
THE EARTH HAS BEEN DESTROYED! WHAT DO I DO?!!
Don't panic.
If you took the advice in our leaflet, "Preparing For Geocide", you will have made arrangements for this eventuality by preparing a Geocide Refuge either on a space station, ark ship, or other Earth-like planet. If you have done this, now is the time to make your way to your refuge. Do not stop to collect belongings, pets, or sentimental souvenirs of Earth, such as rocks.
If you have not prepared a Geocide Refuge and your local governing body has not created one for you, your best bet is to signal for help using a walkie-talkie or cellular telephone. Possibly a passing extraterrestrial will rescue you.
My baby's in there!
My baby's in there!
Your baby has most likely been destroyed.
The Earth hasn't been destroyed! What are you talking about?
Some of you will find it tougher to let go than others. There will be counselling sessions running on Pluto starting in mid-April. The first is at 7:15pm on Thursday 18th. BYOO2.

I guess I'm still in denial :)

Villa Konellibont - Phase 1
I'm using the macguyver approach to building a luxury rabbit home for Kobus and Benny...
Just use anything I find...
Plan changes with every new piece of wood I find :)
They seem to dig the progress on their new crib...

Electric Sheep
Recently installed the Electric Sheep screensaver on my mac.
The concept, created by Scott Draves, is quite interesting...
The "Sheep" are so called Fractal Flames, generated by a genetic algorithm. They take some time to render and by installing the Electric Sheep screensaver your computer will help render new sheep while it is asleep... it will indeed dream of electric sheep.
The cool thing is that the sheep will evolve based on popularity ratings (you can press the up or down arrow key to rate), they will mate and mix and you can create your own and add them to the gene pool.
On the sheepserver you can watch the lineage and the genome of the sheep (Currently flock 244).

Droste effect in music video
The Droste/Escher effect is a technique with which you can make some amazing pictures.
I learned how to use it from a tutorial by Josh Sommers on Flickr, check out his amazing work.
The code used to generate these images is based on the maths these guys from Leiden produced to complete a litograph by Escher who apparently could not figure out how to complete it himself.
Browsing through Josh's Flickr gallery (which I can recommend) I came across this link to a music video using the effect as an animation... Amazing!

Ducky-Dons
You don't wanna know...
So I'm gonna tell you anyway:
Today we bought a new bed! My back and neck didn't agree with the architecture of Noey's current bed.
Complementary was a pillow... I went for the Ducky-dons triplo red
Sorry
duckies
sorry...

The Shape of Imagination
Ok, so I stopped my pro account on Flickr some time ago, because...
well we didn't get along anymore :)
But people still visit my stream and sometimes find what they need. Some time ago my photo of the walk of fame was chosen to appear in the Schmaps city guide to LA. This time a radio station from Salt Lake City, Utah used my Love & Mathematics image from my Poetry & Photography set.
Jay... fame... sort of
Here's the poem that goes along with the picture:
Love & Mathematics
Some speak of a spark
Which ignites in the dark
When two people solve
The equation of love
But as the lights went on
Cover of darkness gone
I saw your true face
Reflected in my gaze
Fuzzy logic was applied
Our body language lied
Do I mind that nose?
Do you hate my clothes?
The laws of attraction
Do not care for perfection
As I entered your space
I thanked god the beer is so cheap in this place
